- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve the Service.

- Send lawn care tips if you subscribe to our newsletter
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Clerk for user authentication and account management
- Stripe for payment processing (we do not store your payment card details)
- National Weather Service API for weather data
- Amazon Associates for product recommendations (affiliate links)
- Vercel for hosting and analytics
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and recommendation data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time — see Data Deletion below. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time.
5. Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your Lawnscape Guru account and all associated personal data at any time. Once requested, we will permanently remove your data within 30 days.
To request data deletion:
- Send an email to support@lawnscapeguru.com with the subject line "Delete my account".
- Use the email address associated with your Lawnscape Guru account so we can verify your identity.
- Optionally, include any third-party login provider used to sign up (e.g., Google, Apple, Facebook) so we can fully disconnect those connections.
We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. The following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account profile (name, email, authentication credentials)
- Your lawn care questionnaire responses and saved recommendations
- Your subscription history and any locally stored preferences
- Any newsletter subscriptions associated with your email
Note: Some data may be retained for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes (e.g., transaction records held by Stripe), as required by law.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication through Clerk, and access controls on our database.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of marketing communications

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
